It was the end of summer and Giacomo was already looking forward to returning to school. During the summer break he maintained a regim of deteermined commitment to improving his game as a basketball player. His brother was on years ahead of him and despite their unusual talent both boys considered themselves to be ‘normal’. Giacomo right arm is longer that his left by about the six inch length of his palm; his brother Julien has the same condition. The boys faced an uphill struggle in being recognised for their talents. Giacomo vered towards sports and Julien was interested in more academic persuits. Giacomo’s determination meant that he woke early and walked a mile to practice in a public space in the early morning. His brother wakes up early and attends to his studies reading and writing for his research into biology and DNA.
